Hi guys, im new to Dakka Dakka, but i joined to help me with motivation on this new project, 4th company Ultramarines. Today I completed my first model, as a test for the scheme, which I am very happy with, although I'm not sure I will be able to keep up the standard of the freehand on the shoulder pads. This blog and project is going to be rather a slow burner, so dont expect updates too often, I am a young student so i have school work to deal with as well :(
This is the front view of the marine, and sorry about the quality of the image, they should get better once i work out my new camera

The view of the squad markings.

Guys please give me tips and critiscism and I will endeavor to get more marines painted and to improve the photos, although i warn you that i am on holiday until sunday, so there will be little painting done :(

Looks good! Perhaps I would get that base painted, it will really add to the model with a painted base. As far as I can see right now it looks good. Get some more painted up!

Looks good, but the bases are unfinished. You might want to work on that before you move on to more pieces. :/

they look pretty good, but i agree on 40K Ninja, you need to work on those bases... some sand, gravel or cork will really improve their looks....

i really like how you painted the icons instead of using decals... i also like that you did (i think) third company instead of 1st or 2nd which everybody does

also, they look quite dirty, this can be because their battleworn, but UM are very pompous, so they usually have a very clean look... i think its the result of your drybrushing, but its your decision on that one
