This just looks fantastic. I had my doubts, but 343 looks to be doing a very good job. The character designs are great, and they seem to be linking the game in more with the books, especially glasslands. I now can't wait to see more.

Aye, very happpy with that info so far, its going to be a day of release buy regardless, just hope they can live up to the hype of the series.

I suppose the Novels cant be any worse written than the Games' stories (Bar Dialogue, which since 2 has been Excellent) so i agree with you there.

In terms of Meddling with the chief's design i say save it for the Reds n' Blues. If you want a Ripoff of Isaac Clarke and Vanquish Dude, Knock yourself out with custom armour.

Combat Evolved chief was a little clumsy but two was a perfect compromise imo, he still looked Rugged but also 'atheletic' and most importantly not too Anime. Hence why Lehto et al didnt change him for 3.

Yeah. I like that they are going further into MC's character and are making him feel more like a spartan.

I jut hope the reason that the reds and blues are fighting is to do with Red vs Blue. That would be hilarious.
The new BR looks great too, and I'm glad that they kept referring to halo 3, not reach.

I've always played the Halo games for the single player and knowing that they're going to spend time developing MC into an actual character, not some nameless armored warrior, is extremely satisfying.

Gah, that's so true. 3 kept me occupied for a few years, and Reach kept me occupied for a year.

I'd like H4 to get a bit darker - less bright colours and clean, giant empty buildings. Almost certain not to happen (especially not having seen the preview vid), but it would be nice...

Also interested to hear more about the S4's...

It wouldn't fit the universe to begin with. Forerunner artifacts aren't suddenly going to become grit factories

As for fleshing out MC, for me, he already is fleshed out, since the novels are awesome :3

Sure, but I'm sure there are lots of other places which they could go have happy fun time on

Plus given that it seems the caretakers seem to have fallen offline for the most part, there is plenty of scope to go visit some of the other installations which may well be in serious decay.

Not really, Forerunner constructions are pretty much self sufficient, not to mention that they have cities made out of light.
