Hi, I'm known by the same name on the Infinity forums. I have a lot of suggestions for starting Infinity. I'll start by providing this link: http://infinitythegame.wikispot.org/New_Player_Advice

As most of you may know, an army builder, the PDF's of the rules, a rules wiki, and pictures and descriptions of available miniatures are all available on infinitythegame.com

I also play a few other miniature games but I've devoted most of my time to Infinity. It's my favorite miniatures game. I also play or have played in the past: Space Hulk, 40K, Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Battlefleet Gothic, Mordhiem, Firestorm Armada, Starfleet Battles, Star Grunts, Mechwarrior Clix, Battletech, and of course a variety of board games PC games and some RPG's. My favorite color is yellow.

Edit: My Infinity armies, in order of preference, are as follows:

1-Morat Aggression Forces (I play with Daturazi in every list. They have the Impetuous rule, which allows them an extra Order, but it must be spent, at least in part, to move toward the enemy. This is a dangerous prospect in Infinity because of the prevalence of shooting.)
2-Yu Jing (This faction has a huge amount of variety, like basically every faction in Infinity. It has tons of Heavy Infantry options.)
3-Japanese Sectorial Army (Japanese units are fragile and they tend to advance toward the enemy. They play best when they are in harm's way. It's very fun to play this way.)
4-Ariadna (I have a very small number of Ariadna figures to make balanced lists with plenty of heavy hitter.)
5-PanOceania (I like high tech PanOceania lists.)
6-Haqqislam (I have nine figures, which comprise a 300 pt. list.)
