So I was thinking about trying out a list that looks something like this:

Mek w/KFF
Mek w/KFF

19x Boyz
Nob PK/BP
19x Boyz
Nob PK/BP
20x Boyz
Nob PK/BP

Battlewagon
Armor Plates, Deffrolla, RPJ, 2x Big Shoota, Grot Riggers
Battlewagon
Armor Plates, Deffrolla, RPJ, 2x Big Shoota, Grot Riggers
Battlewagon
Armor Plates, Deffrolla, RPJ, 2x Big Shoota, Grot Riggers

3x Warbuggies
RPJ, Rokkits, Grot Riggers
3x Warbuggies
RPJ, Rokkits, Grot Riggers
3x Warbuggies
RPJ, Rokkits, Grot Riggers

That comes out to around 1475 points. Ive yet to play a list that is dedicated to using BW's, I've only used one or two for fun. The main reason I want to try is just to use 9 buggies . If I take Rokkits on the buggies is it necessary to keep boarding planks? Should I take more boyz and aim for 2000? Any feedback is appreciated!

you need to make space for your meks in the battlewagon so drop a boy from two squads. I would go with TL Rokkits on Buggies Orks lack long range AT. You may want to invest in Grot Riggers in the Battlewagons and you really only need one big shoota. I personally don't use boarding planks as the rules are too broad but that is just me.

Alright added rokkits, removed the boarding planks, and added grot riggers to everything.

How do you intend to run them that needs two Meks?

I run a 3 BW rush and only take the one, the 6inch footprint of the battlewagon is quite large enough to protect both the wagons and the buggies.

(I put mine in the center wagon, with 15 burnas - 15 burnas in an open top = 1 template automatically hitting 15 times... You hit 10 Space Marines with that, that's 150 automatic hits... )

Well, I was hoping to surround the BW's with the buggies and give the buggies a 4+ also. Since you need 50% of the vehicle squadron in the bubble to get the save I figured it would be easier to have two.

So, you measure 6" from anywhere on the BW for the KFF?

Yep, that's what makes putting him in a vehicle so great, not only are vehicles 'obscured' but the 'base footprint' is of the battlewagon, not the embarked mek.

I think riggers don't do anything for a squadron... at least the way it's played around here their "effect" doesn't work for a squadron, so it's a waste of points. YMMV of course depending on local rules interpretations.

We had this very issue in the game I played last week, I took 2x3 killa kans and gave them riggers. Immobilized = destroyed came up vs Rigger ability... We firstly ruled that the riggers were one try or kan destroyed... Then I thought about it and realized that the riggers can't repair in the next shooting phase as the vehicle is destroyed prior to that.

So, I agree, they are pointless in squadrons.

Yeah, I totally forgot about that. I wonder why they even give you the option then, hmmm. Any ideas where else to spend the points?

Also I love the GoT gif in your sig, Stompa. Joffrey's a witch.

45 points unless I miss my count... some war gear for the mek's perhaps? Boarding planks or stikk bomb chukka's for the battle wagons?

Hmmm, You could take a little firebase and amusing potential by taking a gretchin unit to hold home objectives and make one of those two meks into a Shokk Attack Gun... I finally gave in and took one the other day (for that same fight I ran the kan wall) and had much fun with it (against necrons).
