I was just thinking of running a Canoptek Necron list and I just wanted some advice,

HQ
Necron OverLord
Weave, Arrow, Shifter, Scythe, Command Barge

Royal Court
3 HoD Crypteks, 1 with Solar Pules

Troops
5 Warriors
5 Warriors
5 Warriors
5 Warriors
5 Warriors

Fast
6 Wraiths, 3 with Coils
9 Scarabs

Heavy
3 Spyders 2 with Beamers
1 Doom Scythe (Deepstrike)

Total 1490

Pretty much I try to destroy as many vehicles as I can and either go hunting with the wraiths and warriors while the Spyders make babies and stay close to the Warriors as a counter assault.

I would suggest that you swap the arrow for Mindshackle on the Overlord. I haven't had much luck getting the arrow to work, but MSS is excellent.

Is there a reason why you prefer 5 small warrior groups? You may be better dropping 1 squad, getting a lord with Orb, then having 10, 5, 5 with the OrbLord in with the 10. Alternatively if you have any Immortals, maybe put in a squad of those?

The arrow has been a hit and miss as well but I can't pass it up since when it has destroys an annoying vehicle on turn 1 from across the board it just leaves a good feeling inside. I find it that when it misses it's no big deal since it's just 30 points.

I've have great success with 5/5 Warrior units since it creates more target for my enemy to shoot at. For the most part they all move together but try to stay out of multi combat, I'm hoping that most people will keep their distance since my Spyders will be there to back them up. I have thought about the Immortals though, so I might give them a shot if the Warriors don't perform to well in bigger games.

Now that the Doom Syche is coming out soon, I will try out this list in a few games. Are there any other suggestions anybody would like to share?
