We are discussing about good Necron builds in the Tactics section, but I thought it would be best to talk about list specifics here. Please correct me if I'm wrong and please comment away at the list.

Looks to be a solid all comers list...although the skateboard lords seem as if they will get stranded in the enemies backfield without support...although this could be a plan...for them to wreak havoc while the shooty elements close ground and wipe up...The only thing I would question is the chronoteks?...not sure where they fit in...with those points you could get some more warriors in a ghost ark for their shots to be twin-linked...or get some phase shifters for the overlords so they can absorb anything even after falling out...good luck...I have a 2000 pt. competitive list posted down the way if you would like to critique it. thanks...

The Overlords are there to cause havoc amongst rank and file and they make adequate vehicle poppers.

The Chronoteks are there to make re rolls on the DMG chart from the two lanceteks in the Arks. I cannot suggest trying this enough, it really incredibly well.

I'll take a gander at your list.

Thanks.

Not gonna lie bro....I have used my chronotek for like every legal re-roll on the market and it never crossed my mind to use it on the damage chart roll...but I guess I have generally already used it up by then rolling wound with the gauss weaponry that imo's squad has or when Imo gets a short roll on his staff of the destroyer...but I am with ya...the chronotek is way underestimated...good luck with your list...I believe it to be solid...have fun with it...

Bring more guns.

I like the list, but with a couple swaps the amount of firepower will be massively increased. I suggest dropping the Scarabs and possibly the Command Barges (Heresy! I know). I suggest replacing those with units of Heavy Destroyers and replacing the heat rays on the Stalkers with twin-linked heavy gauss cannons. Here is why: Increased ranged shooting synergy. While heat rays are good, they are too specialized and short-ranged to take full advantage of the Stalkers main attribute, namely twin-linking the rest of your army against particular targets. 24" melta is great ... against vehicles that are within two feet. It is wasted on infantry and light transports. Switching to the 36" twin-linked heavy gauss cannons gives you 50% longer "tagging" range, which means that your 24" Annihilation Barges don't need to stay close and your 36" Eldritch Lances can be twin-linked at the full extent of their range. With two stalkers properly placed, that will give you close to table-wide coverage. Add in more 36" Heavy Destroyers las-cannons and BOOM, you have an army that can put the hurt down well past the typical Necron 24" shooting bubble.
