So i'm going to try out the Stormtalon tonight.

I will attach the Stormtalon with the Lascannon to the Scout squad who will be outflanking. This will hopefully give me a late game ace in the hole.

The other Stormtalon will hang back and use its Skyhammer missiles along with the Typhoons to give firesupport.

Pedro bangs around with the Terminators in their LR as a counter assault elements.

Dreadnoughts bring in even more firepower.

Only things I suggest is put the termies with all LCs or TH/SS unless you want wound allocation goodness......
Make the scouts bolter ones and get sternguard (You've got Kantor so why not?).
I still have yet to play test a few talons as a few friends of mine bought some.....

I think for a gun line, you are spending way to much on fancy toys and upgrades.

You need lots of shooting. Which you can't buy more of since you are spending points on needless upgrades to fulfill your desire to build a gun line.

What fancy upgrades?

PF and power weapons in fhe tac squads. Go with ml's instead of lc's. Just doing that saves 60 points and doesn't really affect your 'gun line'.

You need to dump one terminator if you plan on having Pedro hang out with the termies. Regular LR's only have a 12 model capacity. That's another 40 points.

You could buy another hb/tml speeder and a mm for the LR.

If you got rid of the over-costed talons, you could get another 3 tml/hb speeders and have points left over.

I just added 4 ml's and 4 hb's to your gun line without really reducing any other effectiveness of your army.

That's what I mean by 'fancy'...

I'm not even sure why you are even using Pedro...

The whole point of this list is to try out the Stormtalons, if that wasn't clear.

Maybe I'll drop the Sergeant upgrades and the extra Terminator to get another Typhoon.

In a Pedro list the termies should always take Hammers, not only because they are better to start with but also since his bubble has a bigger impact on hammers than on the LCs.

I would personally scrap the rifleman dreads for ACLC Preds to make room for some Sterngurd. 5 Sternguards with 2 LCs makes for an excelent scoring unit.

While Im not sold on the Talon I realize that the point of this list is to try them out but I would still run them naked. With an effective range of 48" TL HB and 36" TL AC it should be able to chose its targets fairly well. If you want a weapon upgrade then the Typhoon is without doubt the best upgrade. But then I dont really see the point in paying a 65pts premium compared to the Typhoon speeder.
