I have been doing playtesting with the Dark Crusaders! Attached is the latest PDF version of it. Things I have found:
1. Charin Ezekius is awesomesauce. Perfectly priced for what he does, which is a HQ killer thanks to Mind War.
2. Crusade is dysfuntional and useless against non-MSU armies. Certainly needs a buff.
3. Stormriders are just nasty against heavy expensive vehicles.
4. Banescythes are really easy to cripple, although that might just be the way I'm playing them.
5. Psyflame Veterans decimate if they get the charge.
6. Chaplains go well with above Psyflame Veterans.
7. Darkblade Veterans, while expensive, are quite lethal once they get going and can hold their own in combat with most enemies.
8. Tac squads are just more expensive vanilla tac squads.
9. Psyker sergeants in every squad = win.
10. Apothecary Talhedron is hilarious with lucky drugs rolls, and with unlucky drugs rolls. For 85 points, he's worth it.
11. Hatescythes are awesome. Even if you lose all its guns they still race around and contest objectives. Love them.
12. Bloodsycthes will cripple Terminator squads.
13. Dreadnoughts are just Dreadnoughts with Crusade. So, awesome.
As I test more units I will update this and the codex. Comments and critique welcome.
