Source Filmmaker went into public beta this week. I've had no prior animation or video editing experience, but I've been screwing around with it a little after going through the tutorials. Right now only the Team Fortress 2 stuff is easily in the tool, but all the Source-based stuff will be in it eventually and you can import models with a little bit of work. This might mean that people can make custom 40K videos and the like.

Yup, it's still in Beta, but they are sending them out.

There's a button on the SFM site that says "Install SFM. It's Free". It'll open up steam and take you to the program's page.
