Sure Space Wolves Land Raider Pilot

Hi guys,
After much pondering over whether I should leave 40k I have decided to leave.
Games Workshop's price increases have driven me to do so.
When I started around 3 years ago a Space Marine Battleforce was £55, it is now £80.
I think the price increases have gotten too much now.
I may stay around on dakkadakka and buy the odd miniature to paint up but for me playing and buying armies is finished.
Most of my friends have gradually stopped playing and live too far away now for regular games.
The only people left at my FLGS are snotty children.
So, farewell Games Workshop.
If you lower prices I may be inclined to come back, but for now Adieu.

Ok, and the point of this is what exactly?
Do you expect someone at GW to read this and go "OH NOES A PERSON ON A FORUM IS LEAVING THE GAME WE MUST CHANGE"?
Do you expect us to beg you not to leave the game?
Do you expect us to pat you on the back until it is bruised?

Honestly, that's what I call a cool story bro. Such a riveting tale, I honestly copy and pasted it to word, saved on my hard drive, backed it up on a jump drive, drove to the bank, put the jump drive in the safe deposit box, and will leave it there until my kids turn about 12 (when they can actually state their age, and ask what it is I'm showing them), when I will pick it up, put it in an old USB drive reader and relay this cool story to them and tell them, "kids, this is what a cool story should look and sound like...not like the stories your generation tells."

I am hardly the first person to announce that they are leaving the wargaming scene on dakka.
I'm just fed up with GW neglecting their customers.
Good day,

You're not alone., but it doesn't mean you have to give up wargaming just because GW is no good. They are only one company out of dozens, Games Workshop is not The Wargaming Hobby, no matter how much they try to tell people it's true.
Why not give Mantic a shot? The company is awesome, has low prices, doesn't raise prices, and the community is great.
Plus you can use your old 40k models to play if you want. There's loads of players for it in England, and none of them are screaming kids either... see it as a chance to make some new friends and get away from the LGS as the only place to game...there's bound to be a few good wargaming clubs near you wherever you are.

I was thinking of maybe Warmachine because it looks cool and you don't really need that many models to play.
I was also thinking of just painting models and not gaming.

Last time I checked, GW is not the entire wargaming scene...
And Scarletsquig... you are writing a pretty big check about mantic not raising prices... That is an impossible buisness model as not even mantic will be able to exist without ever raising prices. All well run businesses will be forced to increase prices eventually... sometimes we just don't see it. Sometimes the price stays the same but the unit size goes down. Sometimes they re-classify sizes to screw consumers ability to compare prices up. No industry can never raise prices ever.
