This is proposed Vector strike vs Fliers and Flying MC variant, that would go well with "cinematic" feel of the 6ed.
"When performing Vector strike against Fliers or Flying MC in Swoop mode, attacking model can opt to perform Vector grab instead. this represents Monstrous creature laching onto target and thus making it loose control, so that both assailant and it's victim spiral wildly and crash to the ground.
Place large blast template over the target,, Scatter it (using small arrow if Hit is rolled). Any model under the Blast suffer S6 Ap- hit and then are placed outside the blast marker. Then place the target where the template landed. It suffers S9 Ap2 (on side armour) and is now Grounded if it was FMC. If he target was Flyer, it is considered to be normal vehicle that moved at cruising speed last turn (i.e. can be shoot at normally and hit on 3+ in close combat.) If it survives till it's own turn, it reassumes it's Flier status as it takes back to the skies.
FMC that performed the Vector grab is placed over the target's final position and then Scatter it (using small arrow if Hit is rolled) (at least 1"" from target). It then suffers S9 Ap2 hit and is Grounded; can only shoot Snap Fire in it's current shooting phase and treats all ground as difficult terrain for purposes of assault in it's current Assault phase.
