So first off this will be my third army for warhammer 40k and I wanted to do something a little different to what i've done in the past. Something with a chance to do some conversion and try things out. So I had an idea pop into my brain to do a Renegade Guard force but with Dark Eldar influence. Sort of like a Slaaneshi Guard Mercenary Slaver force type of army working in commoragh as slavers for hire as they can stay out of the webway for longer periods of time. Now I know there would need to be some sort of explanation as to why there aloud to be in Commoragh and such but maybe they had gained enough renown and fame within a certain kabal (probably the Black Heart) that they were hired on as Slavers? I plan to use the Forgeworld Renegade Guard models and Dark Eldar Raiders for Vechiles along with converting the guard to ride Sky Boards and Reaver Jetbikes. I will not be starting this project straight away as I need time for preparation and stuff but keep your eyes peeled for the future and im hoping for some ideas and response on the project.

Cool idea, especially since the new "AoBR" equivalent will have chaos cultists. Should provide some good bits for you!

IMHO, converting some vehicles out of SM landspeeders and landspeeder storms would be cooler than using stock DE vehicles (and makes a bit more sense with your fluff). It would be a pity to see heavily converted troops riding in stock vehicles!

Thankyou for your response, however they would not be stock I plan to chaos guardify them if you may changing the weapons and Dark Eldar parts to make it more chaos like. Also I figured that they may have been given the vechiles to aid them with their raiding and enslaving where as neither Guard or Dark Eldar ould have access to Land Speeders

"Chaos guardify" doesn't really roll off the tongue, does it? Fair enough, though. I'm interested to see what you come up with On a side note, the landspeeders idea was just to have an ex-imperial hovercraft platform to turn into your counts-as raiders, not running them as standard landspeeders.

love your ideas, and cant wait to see some models, however I agree with rawson in thinking converted landspeeders would look better as a whole, but dont think im doubting the DE vehicles till i see them!
