Just a quick introduction. I have been sculpting off and on since probably 1999 when I started doing ceramics in high school. That was a sort of gateway for sculpting although I never have received any real tuition in sculpture itself. I started sculpting using the same clay I used for ceramics which was of course a pain since I didn't have access to a kiln after high school. In my search for a better medium many years later I discovered polymer clay and tried out some different varieties until I settled on Super Sculpey Firm. I sculpted almost exclusively in this for many years (off and on) until a friend suggested I put my sculpting toward the miniatures hobby. This introduced me to green stuff and other sculpting putties and here I am today. I don't have my own army - mostly because I just don't have the time to develop the painting skills necessary to do it well since I am spending most my time developing my sculpting. I am very much an amateur in the Warhammer universe but I think it is brilliant. It is everything that I have developed a love and appreciation for through my love of sci-fi and fantasy film, literature etc. For now I am just continuing to sculpt and help others develop their armies with commissioned conversions but I am also very interested in getting into the literature of Warhammer 40K in the near future. My work on conversions does of course give me a lot of exposure to various characters in the Warhammer universe and I enjoy learning more and more as I go along. I will be posting my recently completed Pre Heresy Angron in the appropriate forum here soon so have a look and give me your honest opinions. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
