Thanks for all the kind comments. It was fun to work on something so far outside of my wheelhouse.
My painting has slowed down this month, but I did manage to get a few things done. First, Chief Radgrad, a Deadzone mercenary:
Marauders in DZ have a slightly more regimented look than the Orks they are based on. This guy kind of leans toward the Waagh. He's also solid metal-- not quite as deadly as a 2Ed
SM dread, but you could still seriously injure someone with this model.
I also painted some Enforcer Peacekeepers, this time with Defender Shields:
For this set, I went in a more Iron Man direction. The sprue comes with five shields, but only four right arms that go with them, so I have one more guy to paint.
Finally, I painted this old Citadel Ogre:
This guy is more like an Oni rather than a
GW ogre, so I tried to take my painting in that direction. I'm not really very happy with how he turned out-- There were too many wrinkles in his clothes for me to add any patterns, so he doesn't really look all that Japanese. I was planning to enter him in the monthly Dakka comp, but I think I'll have to do something else. Speaking of which:
I got this Storm Giant in the first Reaper Bones
KS. Let's see what I can do with this.
