Ok so i want to get one of those two games, but i cant decide.
My friend Plays GW2. And i would love to play with him, he never plays games, like ever. So him playing this with me is great. And i already played with him so i know ican enjoy it, if i get the controls down.
But I love Halo, But im worried because its the new studio that is making it.

So far you know you'd enjoy gw2, but your unsure of halo 4, so go with what you know.

However, your enjoyment regarding gw2 seems based entirely on your friend playing it, so if he bails then that enjoyment is lost

Eh, I'd say just wait to see how halo fares and go from there.

A friend of mine is a gametester and has played Halo 4. As a longtime fan of the franchise, he was disappointed. I know this is the most anecdotal of evidence and one step off from "My uncle works at Nintendo" but so far the few things I've heard from folks who've played it have been negative. Guild Wars 2 has no endgame, which might also be an issue. I'll just recommend Planetside 2 for the happy medium between the two games, which comes out before the year's out.
