Well being a long time lurker seldom poster on Dakkadakka I decided id start up a blog. In this blog will be random ramblings some sculpting alot of converting maybe some painting and alot of chaos.

So to start things off here are my chaos'fied dark vengeance terminators (W.I.P) . Each of these terminators worships a different chaos god.



Slannesh terminator:
For the Slannesh terminator I decided to try give it a noble but keeping it evil looking so I added a horn which is just a sheath from a de scourge dagger , sculpted a face on the shinpad , sculpted the tabard to be ragged , added a slannesh symbol onto the right fist and made the right sholder pad appear to be cracking into a skull shape.

Tzeentch termi:

For this termi I decided to remove the detail from the power fist and added some waving designs to it , on its chest I added a armor rim and a eye in the center of the chest I sculpted a demon face coming out of one of the armor plates and added fire to a few locations.

Khrone (come get some khorne flakes )

For khrones termi I simply added more armor and added a bayonet to the combi bolter and added some iconography.

And nurgles offering
For this I sculpted a demon face enveloping the terminator helmet , added spikes , added flesh around the armor , damadged the armor with a xacto and converted the combi bolter to a flamer.

I'd suggest investing in a good camera with a macro feature. If the sculpting on the Obliterator/Mutilator is anything to go by, we're missing out on a lot of nice detail on the Termies.

I agree those look like you have some skill, we just can't see it. Another tip would be to take pics of your minis in front of a blank canvas, like a white piece of paper, so the camera focuses on your model.

Also does anyone have any tips for painting bare flesh im having some trouble with this spawn

Second that! Even borrowing a halfway decent camera from a friend is a good enough option here.

Just another thing im working on here , a wip count as warpsmith the fluff behind it is its a servo skull that was infected by chaos while during a battle and during the battle it turned on its master tearing through his flesh and armor then claiming the armor as its own.





For arms im planning on bloody stumps up to the elbows then cables from lower down.

Started work on the terminator champion So far im not all to certain how else to chaos'ify him do you guys think its enough ?

Great paint scheme, IMHO. I really like the grey/gold with the contrasting fleshy parts.

As for the terminator, I don't think he's chaosified nearly enough (though it's a bit hard to see what else youve done besides the shoulder). Especially next to the DV marines, who are super detailed.

Havnt really had much time to do much hobby stuff ,but I Got some paint on my hellbrute, Still alot to do though .

Hopefully I can get time to finish chaosfieng the terminators during the weekend .

Ive also bought another hellbrute that ill be chopping up to make it more khornish and killy.

Your camera isnt focusing on your mini, and rather, is focusing on the things in the background. Turn your macro ON if it has it, and that sheet of paper your using, needs to be the entire background to force the camera to focus on the mini. Having it only partially the background shows whats behind it, and thats what the camera focuses on

In other news heres my second hellbrute.

And with some paint on it still lots to do but im really happy with it so far.

So after getting the idea from jegsar's thread I decided id try my hand at converting a hellbrute into a chaos contemptor.

Here's what ive got so far:

so far hes only being held together by playdoe so i can still repose him. The greenstuff on the torso is only about 20% done and ive still got fleshy bits to sculpt onto the legs. ill be converting a powerclaw from defiler leg blades and sculpting ive no idea what to do for the other hand.

So what do you all think and ideas on additions and whatnot are welcome.

So new update.

Been a little busy so havnt been able to do much of my chaos army till now. But ive been hard at work doing some sculpting commisions and tinkering around with some kits.

So first of all heres my new rhino :



its preety much the out of the box rhino no fancy conversions I plan to make it much better with paint.

Secondly ive made some progress on my contemptor class helbrute , mocked up a power claw from it and cleaned up the gs



The obligatory "your next" pose .



And thirdly ive finshed fully converting the last of the DV terminators , ill be painting them up over the weekend.



Lastly ive started work on a bezerker champion who has no freinds yet as I havnt picked up a box of bezerkers (unless you want to count my converted beastzerkers but they kinda suck) yet the time will come tho.




Oh and after being inspired by the recent rise in bipedal defilers I decided to try my own at it heres what ive got so far

That chaos contemptor is cool!

Hello again been a little busy but heres a small update to anyone paying attention.

Ive finished most of the modeling on the hellbrute contemptor just have to remove the eye on the forearm and add a different symbol.

I also got some painting done im still trying to work out the kinks in my paint scheme but its all coming out well so far.


got some paint on my terminators (except slannesh) .

Im preety thrilled with how the nurgle one is coming along.


And ive gotten some of my chosen halfway done everything still needs details and to be cleaned up.


For the marine with power axe I tried to get the blade to look like it was being heated up but because my only yellow is a lime it looks weird so i have to redo it.

So finished up my bipedal defiler im very happy with how its turned out, it just needs some cleaning up and a little bit of sculpting to finish it off .


As you can see he's quite large as you can see.

Im thinking of sculpting flames around the eye to make it look like a huge heat beam that just fired to represent a defiler battle cannon.

I haven't really been up to much on my army but im thinking about finishing off my scratch built reaver soon.

Hello everyone its been a while since ive updated this blog but I have not been up to nothing.

First of all I finished up a commision to sculpt five spawns convert a chaos lord convert 5 plague marines from CSM and convert 14 plague marines and paint it all. The customer was incredibly happy and here's how they looked when finished.



Ive also started to convert some marines for my army most of the conversions are just basic reposing and kitbashing.



Although there were some more complex ones.

Ive also started working on two daemon princes im very happy with how theyre turning out the first one still needs more armour added to him.






The second one is a snake/lizard deamon prince of slannesh/khorne with jump pack, the head is a dark elf coldone head. He still has a long way to go.





Next up is my test for a noise marine each member will be different the idea of this member is he/she/it was warped into part beast part man with an addiction to heavy bass beats. Its wearing a gas mask (still wip) and will have a ring of fire around the tips of the horns.







The bass is still wip.

The next member of the noise marine unit will be an eyeless vocalest with an elongated jaw. Ill proberly use the head off vilitch the cursling model.

Also here's a picture of my dark knight bane inspired marine that ill be painting up today.

Well ive got some updates for anyone thats still watching this blog. And before I start im going to appologise about the picture qaulity I quickly took these pictures before heading out.

First of all ive assembled and started painting the first member of my noise marines so far its mostly just base colours and two layers on the skin. I still have the eyepatch horns and fire colours to decide on any ideas are welcome I was thinking red for the horns to tie in with the constant pressance of red in the rest of my army but amnt to sure.



Ive also chaosfied some more dark vengeance marines only four more to go I think. The one on the right still needs some work done on the helmet but im not sure what to do.



Ive also started work on a chaos lord with powerfist and plasma pistol that will occasionly be used as a bezerker champion I still have to sculpt his legs but ive finished on his torso and arms his torso is just a modified space marine torso the powerfist is a maxmini necrotech powerfist which is absolutly amazing looking and the sholderpad was gs'd to mimik the style of the powerfist. I tried to give him a mix between a gladitorial and a gothic look on his armour I feel like ive acheived the look well on the torso.


And heres a test for his head the paint is very wip. I decided to give him a ponytail because well ive never seen a ponytail on a 40k minature and felt it would give him a more unuiqe vibe.


And for anybody who remembers it from previosly in my blog I kind of abandoned my count as oblitarator sculpt because I hated how the legs ended up looking so ive decided my oblitators will all include strange bionics I decided to give the origenal four spindely robotic legs this is still extremly wip.


Ive also started a greater demon of khorne so far ive only got the head and axe in any way presentable the head still needs teeth and some sanding.
