Through the looking glass

Starter set goes for about 99 bucks
The two armies, and the rulebook w/ templates and dice go for 1/3 of the price each being 33 bucks
Using dark vengeance as an example, in the chaos space marine army you get Chaos lord w/ chosen, the helbrute, and the cultist, which can further be divided into three parts, making them 11 dollars each.
20 Cultists for 11 bucks generally makes them .55 cents a piece.

So, if you were to sell/trade a single cultist, it would make sense to price it at .55 cents were it to be NOS correct? If it was assembled, standard trade value for plastics would set it to 28 cents each.

Even with all this in mind, the concept of selling a figure for 28 cents seems a bit odd to me, but it is what it is.

So what are your thoughts on trading/selling pieces of a starter set? Your pricing method?

Most of the time if I don't want an army from the starter set I'll swap it for the other starter set army with someone else who has the box. Dark Vengeance isn't going to work that way since I actually play both armies, though.
