I thought Dark Sphere where too stop selling Games Workshop products, but I've just found they have listed the new Chaos Space Marine models. What's going on here?

They changed their minds? People do that you know.

They don't sell them online, they do still stock them in their shop.

And yet they have a whole host of GW products available on their webstore Indicating Europe wide posting and pick up?

Seems like a change in policy to me.

Nope, website is completely different from the version that they had when they stopped selling GW. Strangely they appear to have finecast flamers of Tzeentch rather then the new plastics.

It's official.

Just had an email confirming Dark Sphere are back doing GW mail order.

Good news for many people I'm sure!

Darksphere is just so much quicker than the other stores (although I've had nothing but good service from everyone).

Time to get the order placed that Maelstrom missed out on.

Anyone got any insider info on the policy turnaround?

they say it's because of lots of customers asking for this,

Maelstrom going away probably played a part too

(and for purchases over £100, they'll match their internet prices at their B&M store)

Although actually I don't know why they stopped selling them in the 1st place so I guess it's a rather nonsensical question!

The two 'stories' I've heard were

1.GW was being difficult on supplying them with the product they ordered on time, leading to customers not getting what they wanted, complaints etc, so stopping it meant less unhappy customers

2. They were getting so many finecast models returned that the postage costs ate up most/all of the margin on the GW sales

one, both or neither may be true

I'd heard, on here I believe, that their GW order took up so much physical space that they were struggling to accommodate it all. Then, with the problems that Finecast created, it wasn't worth the compromise to the store customer service considering the small margins involved and the additional hassle.
