Hey Folks. So I am just starting to play WM and im playing Cygnar and not allot of stuff so I was wondering if people could write down some of there Cheaper and more successful lists if you would be so kind. Thanks

The Cygnar Starter box is one of the better builds to be found in a starter set. Gives you an above average caster to learn with and an Ironclad for a beatstick and a Charger to learn the business of shooting. The Lancer in there is a bit meh but it is still a good box to learn with. I think the box xet comes to 11 points so if you add the Black 13th it gives you a very good shooting unit that can cause havoc in 15 point games.

If you want something really diffferent go with Kara Sloan a Charger a Defender and a small unit of Long Gunners with their unit attachment. It is a 15 point shooty army from hell. A bit of a one trick pony but still a tough force that can dish a load of damage on Kara's Feat Turn.

well i got the starter bow and also have the Defender, black 13th, journeyman caster, and the squire right now. And an actual starter list would be nice

Well, for learning at 15pts one of the most suggested lists is what you already have: the Battle Box plus the Black 13th.

If you're looking for suggestions to bring it up to 25pts, then I might suggest this:

Points: 25/25
Commander Coleman Stryker (*6pts)
* Lancer (6pts)
* Ironclad (7pts)
* Squire (2pts)
Arcane Tempest Gun Mages (Leader and 5 Grunts) (6pts)
* Arcane Tempest Gun Mage Officer (2pts)
* * Charger (4pts)
Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Team (4pts)

All it requires purchasing are the Gun Mages, who are a core Cygnar unit and will rarely, if ever let you down.

What you get from this is a good melee heavy jack on Stryker, plus an arc node. The squire is awesome, one of the closest things to an auto-include in WM/H. The Gun Mage Officer is an awesome 'jack marshal, who can give the Charger longer range, the ability to knockback enemies, or a damage boost on crits. You do lose out on the ability to use Powerful Shot, because marshals don't have focus. The gun mages are a great anti-infantry unit, and Stryker can help them against one of their biggest weaknesses, blasts, by giving them extra armor for a turn. And the B13th is a powerhouse whirlwind of death.

It depends where you want to go. If you want to focus on the ranged game that Cygnar is famous for grab a box of Long Gunners. If you want to go combined arms that Stryker excels with, grab a box of Stormblades and their UA. You can either fill the remaining points with Stormgunners or Arlan to support your jacks and take some of the focus load off of Stryker.

One thing to note is that Warmachine is much less about your list and more about how you use it. I can give you a nice list but if you know nothing about how to use it you are not going to do well.

My suggestion is to play lots of small games. 15-25 pts. Learn about how the rules work, try out new units and see how things work together.

Warmachine is all about synergy and order of activation. You need to get these down, and you can only do that with practice.
