Hey everybody I am a 40k player that just moved to Concord a couple days ago from Illinois and I am looking for a FLGS to game at.

Most of the action is a bit further south, but luckily nothing is too far away from anything else in NH.

I'll let the folks who still live out there chime in but give you a nice bump.

The Dakka store has been closed for a great many years (before I moved out of NH, iirc) now but there are a couple in the nearby area. I'm hoping Mannahnin or one of the other locals drops by the help out.

Still looking for a place to game in my area! I found a place called collectables unlimited but they were closed the day I went to check them out.

Here's a good thread on Southern NH games which talks about Game Castle.

I'm going to light the Mannahnin signal to see if he knows some other locations further north.

Collectibles Unlimited is a nice store; last I knew they had small tournaments every month or so. But it's a small crowd, fairly modest terrain, and the owner's not really into it, so you have to more or less sort out rules issues on your own. They have a good, active Magic and other card game scene, to my knowledge. Several of my friends play Friday Night Magic there regularly.

The Game Castle in Londonderry is your best bet for nice terrain, good space, and a decent-sized crowd. Usually a half dozen or so of us on a given Tuesday league night, and 10-20 (occasionally more) at tournaments. There's also a group of guys who play various historical wargames every Tuesday, and a good number of Warmahordes and Malifaux guys, plus some Warhammer FB. Plus card gamers, of course, and some boardgaming.

Myriad Games in Manchester is smaller, but very nice, clean and professionally-run. They're more about board and card games, with some significant Malifaux and Warmahordes action (occasional 40k, Dystopian Wars, infinity, Star Wars x-wing, Flames of War, etc.). but have a quite active gaming crew. Mondays I think more Warmahordes & Malifaux, Tuesdays and Thursdays a mix of everything.

Double Midnight Comics in Manchester doesn't really have miniatures. More comics, card games, and board games.

Same with Myriad's original location down in Salem.

There's a nice store out in Dover called Elite Hobbies. On the small side, but some good terrain, a nice group of players, and literally next door to a good pub last I remember. It's also a college town, which can be socially very nice if you're young and single.

Up North the only place I know of is Triple Play in West Lebanon. That's a bit of a haul up Rt. 89, on the Vermont border. It's been there for a long time, though (probably fifteen years or more), and does have 40k, though I've never been there and don't know the details.

I also regularly make the drive all the way down to Battleground Games in Plainville, MA, for tournaments. It's around a two hour drive South from you, so only worth it for a Saturday tournament if you really enjoy those. But the store has great terrain/tables, and draws large numbers of players, some of whom are regional and national-level tournament champions. So if you're really into tournaments (as I am), then it's worth it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

They have absolutely no right to say they have 40k or anything else for that matter. I took the long drive out there.

Its a single room about 10 by 10 with a tiny little table in the middle with no terrain.

They don't carry any gaming stuff... AT ALL! They're one of those places that says "We can order it for you."

If you like out dated WW2 books then you might be interest in the 7 or so they have on a magazine rack.

Wow, really? For some reason I remember hearing that they had an actual 40k community up there. I remember meeting and playing against a guy who came down to the old Dakka store who said he was a regular at Triple Play. Although obviously this was close to a decade ago.
