Having played with it and against it, while really wanting to like it, I still don't really like the Kodiak. The Devastator or Demolisher provide 2 open fists for power attack fun time, and also wants the Butcher's feat and/or Fury to buff melee damage, while possessing ARM 25 and either Rain of Death or a couple of powerful guns.
I would probably pile on bodies rather than bring manhunters, but ymmv. Possibly replace the Manhunters, Yuri and Eliminators with a max unit of Assassins + UA. A&H are slightly less useful than usual since Butcher can hand out damage buffs liberally, but they do provide occasionally-crucial Magic Weapon, plus there is no kill like overkill.

You - Ha! You've activated my trap card! Allied army! Come forth to assist!
Friend - Sup
Wolf Heathen - An equal point match?! This is not acceptable! Tau friend! Form up on me!
And then some guy throws a manta at the table and promptly breaks it in half sending figures and terrain everywhere. |

My thinking is that the Kodiak and the ManHunters go hand in hand, Using Pathfinder to add another front of danger that my opponent would have to deal with. Having Yuri, Eiryss, and the Eliminators on one side. the ManHunters with Kodiak on the other. WGDS and DoomReavers up the middle with Beast and Butcher behind them, A+H kinda hanging out in the mid ground supporting where they can.

Yeah, I don't think a lack of bodies is your problem.
I know that Beast and the Kodiak are perfectly capable of handling high ARM, but they take quite a bit of Focus in order to do so. (Or Feat Turn)
I'm not sure if that's a real problem, or just a potential one.
Pretty rough list regardless.

My only real concern with the list is someone bringing Duel Stormwalls.
But thats what 38 points in two models?

Yeah, I think this list could handle that, assuming the feat turn went well. Beast can do a number on any colossal by itself, as can the WGDS putting out boosted damage CRAs.
If all else fails, I've seen a friend's Butcher1 1-round a Stormwall by himself on the feat turn. (He had to blow all his focus and died horribly next turn, but does it really matter?)

Nope it wouldn't matter if I lost after taking out a Stromwall in 1 round with pButcher

Dual Stormwalls seems a bit much for anything 50 point and lower. At 50 points I aim at be able deal with one Collossal which is more common now. Behemoth can take any Collossal in one turn if supported by the caster well. If pButcher can't take a Collossal on the feat turn there is something very wrong.

I tend to prefer Berzerker's with pButcher, the psudo focus he gives to his battlegroup. Thats just my two cents.
Why is everyone is always so afraid of dual colossals? I can understand the mindset coming from 40k and Apoc, but unless your meta is SUPER former apoc player heavy, a dual colossal list is suffering from a serious lack of models at anywhere below 75 points.

Most armies don't do a double Colossal well. Double Stormwalls are because you have to kill them to be able to score in scenario play. A single Stormwall can straddle objective zones in some scenarios and do massive area denial (particularly the double Stormwall). You need control points more than victory points in SR scenario play.

2 Stormwalls can make up for the lack of numbers by laying down 4 covering fire templates per turn, denying enemy swarms access to most of the board, while they and the rest of the list whittle away at the enemy's numbers.

I personally couldn't see a reason to bring two Conquests but I could see the benefit of two Stormwalls.

I run a similiar styled list.
I generally enjoy Berserkers under full throttle + feat, especially with Fury up vs a colossal. I've loaded a Berserker w 2 focus to attempt to solo a storm wall. Yes, its pretty much all of your focus. However, given a beserker is 6 pts... your coming way ahead in points, and you have 2 PS 19, 1 PS 15, 2 PS 19 with 3d6 damage on feat turn, not including the 4d6 for the charge... and the possible explosion Its a good trade off.

My math comes out to 41 damage on an AS Stormwall, assuming you give it 3 focus and don't bother with Full Throttle vs. a colossal. Imo you're better off with something heavier that can bring down the biggest threats (colossals) buffed to high hell, while also being able to provide utility (Beast's anti-infantry, Devestator chassis' armor). The extra point premium pays plenty of dividends with a smaller number of jacks.

A Colossal is just a big jack so most other heavy jacks or beasts supported correctly can bring down any colossal. I really only run my Conquest as a big fire support base and only use in combat when I know I can win or keep a key unit tied up.

^^^You mean its just two big jacks. Khador has alot of solutions for them though. Fully buffed pButcher can knock one out pretty easily. Behemoth under pButcher can too. Alot of our other jacks cannot. Fortunately that is where our infantry come in. Fury and feat on a charging squad of IFPs can put massive damage on a stormwall. Same goes for greatbears.
I think the list would benefit with a max squad of IFPs + UA instead of that kodiak and a manhunter.

IFP are great, I can see your point about adding the unit and dropping the Kodiak and a ManHunter.
I think it would change the feel and play style of the list dramatically. And add a bunch more bodies to the middle of the board. I already have a great Tarpit in the WGDS and a pretty good Jammer unit with the DoomReavers. The Kodiak on a flank with pathfinder and ManHunters puts a lot of forward pressure on my opponent and thats the goal of the list is lots of pressure from all directions.
I'm gonna see if there is a way I can make some time on saturday and actualy get to play the list....
