So I am thinking of converting up a Leman Russ Annihilator for use in my IG army. I was planning to give it a lascannon and sponson MM so it could be dedicated to tank hunting. The TL-lascannon seems like a solid Anti-tank gun and 2 lascannon shots is nothing to sneeze at. Combine that with the MM sponsons and this thing seems like it could be really successful for downing enemy armor. What do you guys think?

The Annihilator is garbage. If you want a single anti-tank shot on a Leman Russ get a Vanquisher with a coax heavy stubber. It's still not amazing, but it makes a cruel joke out of the Annihilator.

Wish Space Wolves could still take them like back in 3rd edition :(

Seems pretty meh. I'd leave the tank hunting up to the melta toting infanty, or a Vendetta if you like flyers. The MM side sponsons are also a bit of a waste since youre going to have to move your tank up close to use them, when you can just sit back and plink away with the TL LC anyways.

How many vendettas do you have so far? You might want to get some more!

Also pask and the vanquisher is pretty cute if also pretty bad...

I like the autocannon Russ. Feels like a more expensive rifleman when shooting up. Hits ground medium armor pretty hard with .5 LC hits and 3 autocannon hits. You can even move around with her.

Drop melta works with vendettas pretty decently for my pals and csm army.

Not a fan of vendettas. I am a terrible converter and the kit costs around 91 USD.

I proxied them and thought they did alright. Not great, just average.
Medusa with bastion breecher shells and camo is much better.
I don't like depending on vendettas/vets/deep striking storm troopers; some things I want dead turn 1, and the Medusa does that.

How much does a Russ cost now. I guess it's a lil smaller than a vendetta.

EDIT boy that is cheaper! GW sure are on thier game. No wonder flyers are do fantastic.
