The SCARAB game convention returns for 2013 and will be Friday, January 18th through Monday, January 21th in Columbia, SC.

This is a four day gaming convention that features a wide range of miniature games, board games and RPGs. More details about SCARAB can be found on
the SCARAB website and our Facebook page. For a current list of all games, including times, descriptions, and player sign-up, please visit our Warhorn Event Overview.

Friday the 18th will start with a giant 40K Apocalypse games, with each player bringing anywhere from 2000 to 5000 points. Super-heavies are encouraged. Players will be split into sides after check-in.

A Flames of War battle will help us start off our convention on Friday, and Sunday will feature a 1650 three-round mid-war tournament. More details to be announced on Warhorn and the SCARAB website.

Warmachine and Hordes will also have events running all four days. The Warmachine Carolina Open will be the qualifying event for the Carolina Invitational. Will there be a comp for the fantasy tournament? If so, where can we find the comp system you guys will be using?

We won't be scoring comp but we will be using the Swedish Comp system to help with first round pairings. We want to make sure that everyone starts on a mostly level playing field. The most recent version of the Swedish Comp system is available here.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Player Packs for Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 have been posted to the SCARAB tournament page. They describe the missions and scenarios used for each tournament along with the usual stuff: special rules, schedules, allowed army lists, etc...

Please let me know if there are any questions. Thanks!
