Hi guys,

I would like to paint mij ironblaster rhino with orange fur. I would still like to have a natural look.

Any ideas ?

Best way I've done natural orange:

mid: bubonic brown and blood angels red, probably about 2:1

shade: bestial brown with just a touch of blood red

start with the shade, slowly add in the midtone, if that isn't bright enough, start adding bleached bone

there are other ways to do this, but the key is keeping a moderate amount of brown in it. scorched brown will get a similar, cooler effect

(sorry for the outdated color names, haven't bothered to learn GW's new names)

Sorry, no, can't think of anything i've photographed that uses it. should come out about the same as the orange link color on this forum (of course, that varies by screen, but a drab orange, which is what it sounds like you want).
