What armies are considered quick and agile? Eldar, Dark Eldar? I wouldn't mind having a change of pace available from my slow, blobby IG.

Sorry for yet another 'amg wat army i pick' thread, but hopefully it's a specific enough question for discussion.

Yeah, the pointy ears armies are the fastest in the game. Speed is their armor.

You could also look into a bike/speeder marine army, if you also want a change of pace from "T-shirts for armor"

Well, all armies have quick and agile units. But a general rundown,

Tau have very agile battlesuits and skimmers
Eldar and Dark eldar pretty much trump them in that department though
Blood angels have crazy fast vehicles.
Necrons can teleport around the table and have easy access to flying transports
Guard can go with lots of flying transports as well (vendetta spam) as well as going mechanised with lots of chimeras. mech guard are suprisingly fast!

Tau, both types of eldar are the most agile of the game.

Beyond that, any bike army works well, as well as any army with lots of beasts and/or calvary.

Obviously no one will think of Orks when using the word Agile.

That said though they can be quite fast and devastating.

With the new vehicle rules, trukks are on your opponents door step at the end of T1.

Battlewagons are right there as well.

They also have access to Bikes.
Warboss on a bike is a fast/scary thing

That had definitely not been on my radar. Good to know.

They are AoC, so it's very possible.

I'd take IG Primary though, access to Vendettas. Each side has merits though.

Followed by a Warboss on a Bike; squad of Nob Bikers (IIRC Boss makes them scoring)

Than maybe 20 shootaboyz, Nob/pk/bp in a Battlewagon

That should be ~700 pts

We typically play 1850pt games, you can Do alot with 1150pts of IG.
