my FLGS looks like it won't be able to restock any orks until sometime in the new year, and honestly I need a break from my samurai orks for a bit to get my creative juices flowing again. after watching Mankind: the story of all of us over and over, an idea entered my mind for a CSM army themed around the flagellant cults during the black death. I've got some ideas for what certain units will be, but I need some help filling in the gaps:
Lord: prophet of salvation (the actual leader of the cult)
Sorcerer: Evangelist of the panecia (the public face of the cult)
Deamon prince: avatar of the plague (the demon prince behind the cult)
warp smith: not sure yet
dark apostle: flagellant leader

PA CSM: disciples of stability (those who have been given the "cure" and have mutated due to it)
Terminator CSM: disciples of stability in terminator armor
cultists: the flagellants

possessed: the ascended (disciples who have taken the next step in the cult's progression)
hellbrute: the swollen (basically a guy who's more bubo then man)
Plague marines: the chosen of contagion (the elite guard of the cult)
raptors: not sure yet
warp talons: not sure yet

Hell Drake: carrion raven (basically make the dragon a crow)
other vehicles: unchanged

the basic fluff is that as a group of imperial nobles on the planet Issik Kul implement massive reforms around the same time as a plague sweeps through the planet. a cult springs up offering a cure to the plague and preaching that the reforms are the cause of the plague. in reality the plague and the cult have the same cause: a demon prince of nurgle who seeks to make his ancestral home of Issik Kul his demon world.

also if anyone knows how I can implement some plague imagery into the minis, I'd love to hear them.
(also sorry if this post is a bit choppy, but I've been typing it on and off at the family Christmas party, so my train of thought has been broken many times)

Admiral Chester W Nimitz wrote:The war with Japan had been re-enacted in the game rooms here by so many people and in so many different ways, that nothing that happened during the war was a surprise.

My Cold War NATO IG, love to know what you think
