Is this released yet? Seems like it usually comes out for sale around the 20-24 monthly. I have the iPad subscription but have not gotten a download for it.... GW a little slow this month or did my iPad miss it?

Calendar in the back of last month's issue states Jan 5th for release. I've heard that's SOP for GW.

Hmm never noticed the calendar, but I do know that since I have subscribed October - it has come out between the 20-27 of the month prior. I will look in my last issue to look at the calendar. Thank you.

You are correct they have jan 5th as the release date...so apparently GW releases it whenever they want instead of a set date and they put in the calendar of the date it releases. Looks like they handle it like a model instead of a normal mag.

It is because of Christmas, they think (and actually probably do considering their target demographic) they will get more money not speaking about any new releases around Christmas. They will release some big scenery and army bundles and let everyone buy what they want/need then, after everyone has spent their Christmas money, they release White Dwarf and sown everyone the shiny new Dark Angels on the way and people go buy them. If White Dwarf were already out then people would be saving their money for the new DAs. And that is the WORST! POSSIBLE! THING! in GWs mind.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

White Dwarf is always released on the last Saturday of every month. The only exceptions are when Games Day and Christmas get in the way. White Dwarf has always been a week late at Christmas - it would be out this Saturday, but has been put back (as normal) until the 1st Sat in January (5th).

That said, it was officially released before Christmas in some news stores of Denmark. Noone knows why.

Jeez, the guy was only asking a question, regarding a subscription he'd paid for, and expected to get on time.

Doesn't matter, it can still be considered a criticism of the great GW practices and therefore must be smashed as an example to others!

Back in the day, it used to be released before Christmas although this meant you had to wait a month and half before the next one.

That won't be an official release then. That'll be te newsagents getting their copies early and putting them out early rather than waiting for release date.

Posting in a thread just to say that you consider it a waste of time is a waste of your time and everyone else's.
