Hey, new player here with a quick question. The new trolls for the hobbit sbg have the throw stones rule, but they don't have a specific stone profile. So is there some generic troll stone strength or are the trolls somehow expected to find pick up and throw baseball sized rocks. Given the goofy nature of the trolls that may be the case but it doesn't seem right to me. Anyway thanks for any help.

It should be in their special rules.

Otherwise I'd use the Mordor Troll rules - strength 8, cannot move, 12" range.

I haven't played SBG in awhile so I may be wrong, but I thought they are thrown weapons so are at the strength of the user and with a range of 6"?

Page 83 says Hobbits are 8" range with a str of 1. It also indicates that some creatures such as Trolls and Ents have different Str and Range values indicated in their profiles. It is clearly an oversight that these trolls do not indicate their Throw Stone ability, but I would agree that the Cave Troll Throw Stones rule is probably most appropriate for the new trolls. That would be a Str 8 and 12" range working like crossbows.

The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.
