Yep. Not sounding legal.

You might do some Google Searches.

So Papercraft?

That's a touchy subject my friend hahaha. Some people out-right hate it, others like it.

GW used to endorse papercraft back in the OLD days when they didn't even have minis for some pretty basic units (they endorsed converting and papercraft). Unfortunately, now that GW is a big company they want to make money so they don't endorse it anymore. Not "illegal" per-say, but frowned upon. It really depends on how good you do it and how well it's painted. I have seen papercraft that from a table-top distance could pass off as a plastic kit. I have also seen stuff that could be better made with legos.

I have seen Valk templates, but not any of the ground vehicles you listed. Just search up "_____ papercraft template" where _____ is the model

I can't remember the guy who offered them, but I have a few. Most notably(and why I looked up his site in the first place), a template for a Thunderhawk. He actually made it to be constructed out of several layers of detail pieces to be glued over the basic form, all with full graphics.

The coolest is that there is also a copy of the same PDF in just the outlines, with no graphical detail, so you could use each piece as a template to cut everything from cardboard or plasticard and paint it yourself, which is likely what I'll be doing.

His name was "Patoroch" on the PDF's,and I got them off 4shared.

This sounds horribly illegal. If you want a Thunderhawk, go buy a Thunderhawk.

I just can't see fan-made papercraft templates as being illegal, especially if they are not for profit and the graphics are not the creation of GW. It would be like saying that all the people who have completely scratch-built a WH40K vehicle are doing something illegal.

Everyone who has built their own titan over on the P&M boards instead of buying it from Forgeworld have broken the law, then.

If you distribute them, in lieu of GW licensed models; yes.

I'm a fan of papercraft/origami in general.

I think I might see if I can find some for the fun of making cool models.

Edit: I found some, and hopefully if I get some time I'll make them and post the results.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

I do know of where, but board rules do not permit me to post a direct link. Petitioning of the google engine has been found to work though.
Also, give out a yahoo to certain groups.

thanks for the replies. i am sturggling to find templates but i have some more basic ones to try now.

to anyone wondering GW cant technically do anything about papercraft as it is just lines on paper, thats why people leave off the tabs. it isnt in any way illegal its just not aloud anywhere official. i am doing it to see if i like playing IG before investing in a full army. tanks are expensive for IG

If you just wanted it to try, you could just proxy the tanks. Save a lot of effort.
