I am trying to start an imperial guard army and found a couple assembled Valkyries on ebay. Can I buy the FW Vendetta kit and convert them to Vendettas or is that something that has to be done while you are putting it together?

The wing-mounted guns just glue onto the weapon hardpoints like a rocket pod/hellstrike missile with no conversion required. Unless the person you're buying from has glued them on so solidly that it's impossible to get the existing weapons off you should have no problems with those.

The hull gun replaces the plastic ML/LC on the side of the nose. In theory it is possible to convert it after assembly, but you might have a harder time removing the existing gun since the contact surface area is a lot larger and the mounting method is sturdier. Of course with the wing guns making it clear that it's a Vendetta it's probably not the end of the world if you have two TL LCs under the wings and a single hull LC.

The sensor bit on the nose is purely decorative, you may or may not be able to add it to a completed model easily but it's not something to worry about unless you really like how it looks and want to add it.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I wouldn't bother with the FW Lascannons, they're ridiculously pricy for what you're getting. Just ebay some IG lascannon bitz and put them on.

The FW lascannons look much more professional, clean, and legitimate.

I choose them every time.

Yeah, do what the first guy said.

Then learn how to use a knife and a file and glue. You'll be fine.
