Hey Dakka Dakka,

My first post here, I was planning on taking a Fortress of Redemption for my Iron Warriors and after I decided how to deface it and actually make it chotic I thought, How the hell am I going to bring this thing with me to my FLGS.

Any suggestions without going to Battle Foam and buying a bag for over what I paid for the model?

Not to sound too snarky, but have you actually asked your FLGS if you are able to store it there? I'm sure you might be able to come to some arrangement.

I imagine a shoe box and tissues would work, or something along those lines. But that is not from experience with the fortress, just how I transport my regular models.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

if you did not glue them together it should just be 3 simple sections you need to bring it, But if you did glue it you could put it on a piece of thin plywood trace it, cut it out, then glue it down on that.

To many unpainted models to count.

The idea of it being glued all in one and you trying to carry it around has just made me smile after a poop day at work lol.

I second asking the store if they can hold onto it for you. My FLGS stores all of my terrain for me.

LOL No I didnt glue it all together, I havent even purchased it yet. Just seen one at the local GW and its huge.

I dont trust the MTG players at my FLGS to store it there, the terrain is all out on the selves.

I guess a box with some bubble wrap would do the trick dont know why I didnt think of that. Thanks for all the feedback.

If you don't glue it, it should be in 4 sections. That should fit fine just on the floor of your car or something. Otherwise I reccomend a reusable grocery bag.

Magnetize the four sections and find a nice cardboard box to store it in. Perhaps get some eggcrate foam to keep it safe.

i just use a big box, and surround it in bubble wrap. the parts youll want to watch for are the hev bolters and searchlights on the tower. those tend to "protrud" and get caught on stuff and break off. everything else is generally pretty solid if its wrapped up proper.

mine is in tower, 2 bunkers, walkway section with the hev bolters magnetized so i can place them in diffirent spots.

the box i use is also big enough to bring a few other pieces of terrain with me as well. i usually take a few of the smaller ruins i have and a pair of the warhammer forests.
