Hi guys.

I am gonna play againt necrons next week, and I am looking to play a Khornised Chaos Army :

- A winged deamon Prince, mark of Khorne, Axe of Fury, power armour (255pts)
- 10 bersekers, chainaxes, plasma pistol for the champion, in a Rhino with demonic possession (295pts)
- 9 bersekers, chainaxes, plasma pistol for the champion, Kharn in the unit, in a Land Raider with Extra armour (628pys)
- havocs unit with 4 flakk missile launcher (175pts)
- Forgefiend with 2 Hades autocanon (175)

My opponent loves his big guns, and I can predict that I will face a Monolith, a Doom Ark, a Triarch stalker, and one, maybe two night scythe.

Do you think that a Khorne army can overwhelm a necron army ?

It's possible, though I'd suggest switching the Havocs to have autocannons, as they'll be able to do anti-flyer and anti-infantry.

I would suggest leaving a 4 HP vehicles that takes 36 Gauss shots to kill at home too. Especially if you are tempted to put 340 points of models into it.

I agree on the Havoks, I would also lose the Daemon Prince - he is too expensive at this level imo and you have almost 500 points tied into HQ units between him and Kharn.

Since you need kharn to make berserkers troops, keep him or...take CSM with a CCW and a MoK and then a unit of Berserkers as elites.

I also like the idea of just walking against Necrons or taking Huron to infiltrate in close. Their lack of AP 3+ weaponry makes walking more viable.

If I leave the Land Raider, I am afraid that bersekers will be shoot before ranging for CC. What do you have as a solution for that ?

If you drop the Daemon Prince and the Raider, you could add Huron to infiltrate D3 units of berserkers. and add a lot more berserkers.

As a Necron player of little skill I can say that once you reach his lines he is going to be in big gak. Take a few back line guns to try and take out choice targets then get your melee into range as soon as you can. Use cover and try to field enough bodies that he will be stuck shooting your fodder as you advance.

Well if what you say about your opponent is true exposed marines are gonna get decimated by a doomsday ark and a monolith. Cover and speed are needed here and berserkers in rhinos are terrible because they can't assault out it. Land raider is big and expensive but berserkers win in the assault and the land raider can get your boys where they need to be. Snapshot twin linked lascanon shots to pop the big guns. I would drop the forge fiend for a hell drake with a bail flamer. Ap 3 pens everything in the necron codex except lords with sw. Plus that will kill his flyers and decimate his warriors/immortals. The hell drake also keeps fire off the land raider.

Drop that demon prince and get a bunch more berserkers. Foot slaugh a bunch and make some power armor saves. The more troops you have the more objectives you can get, 5/6 games are objective based. Plus the demon prince will get beat in the face by mss lords with a warscythe. Strength 10 smash attack yourself for instant death no bueno.

Ok, gonna drop the Deamon Prince for a Heldrake and a bunch of troops to increase the number od target. Once in CC, my berserkers will do the job.

Ah, but does your opponent know he's facing Khorne-ish CSM?
if so, any 'Cron player worth his salts will know how to counter (Death&Despair squads, Wraiths, Royal Court abuse, etc).
if he's just going to stick with "derp, I have big gunz", then he deserves to be handed his ass.
