I'm very new to war gaming and only painting experience so far has been a couple of Orks . Haven't managed an entire unit yet much less an entire army. Hoping that by keeping this post going it will help me commit to actually finishing my Skaven. Below is the first clan rat I've painted so far minus any highlighting yet.

Appreciate any comments/criticism to try and improve.

Want to at least have the units base coats complete by this weekend.

Looking good so far. For the sake of your sanity, I wouldn't go too overboard with details/highlighting etc (save that for High Elves). Also try painting in batches, or those rats are going to take forever

Looks good to me - quite a muted colour scheme which I quite like as it is, although I expect the highlights will brighten it up a bit.
The tail looks really well done - keep it up!

Definitely don't plan on highlighting too much. Probably just touching up the base color and one shade lighter.
