I have finally found a gaming club close enough to get to and this is my first game there. Finally my variety of opponents can increase! The first guy i played was nice enough and i played against his orks, a kind of green tide list. Its been a very long time since i played orks last (with out being them i mean) so it was a good chance.

Very cool!

You mentioned the strong right hook with your army, I have been wondering about trying a "swingwing" in footdar. Wraith/walker/guardians can provide the shooty aspect, while keeping the castle away from the enemy.

Unusual ork list, but green tides can be a pain. I try and neutralize their shooty aspect(you did a good job on that) while kiting their assault potential.

Have not seen a falcon in a battle for a long while. Nice to see one earn some mileage!

Looking forward to the other reports. Based on your potential enemies, runes of warding and shooting should keep you in the clear!

I just mentioned a right hook as an off comment but now that you mention it, it could be possible with eldar. I might have to try it out. use the wraith/walkers/guardians to hold the center while transports and tanks boost down a flank. Might work. defiantly have to try it out.

Sounded like a great game. Those fire dragons really did a number on the war boss lol.

Good report. I've been playing Eldar a long time now. (Since 3rd) and I have to say, that except in a very limited set of circumstances the Wraithguard aren't actually worth it.

A small squad of Dire avengers on foot are going to get blasted away too. Very easily and won't put out much damage.

Guardian bikers are a good choice but don't expect them to EVER do any damage. Just contest objectives or annoy people.

10 Guardians with a weapons platform is a pretty good, I leave Warlocks out because right now they don't add enough to the squad. Coupled with the Avatar making them fearless is a good choice.

Also a good choice is a Seer council on a bike, a few warlocks with destructor, enhance, embolden. Farseers with a few choice powers ect, very hard to kill and pretty killy themselves.

A local player of mine runs 2 Farseers on bikes, 10 Warlocks on bikes and a dark eldar person sometimes for an added 2++ save with a re-roll if he's up front.

In all the games I've played against him and seen him played it has never been eliminated. He routinely finishes in first place at tourneys.

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen
