So I was just visited by a couple dudes in black ties wanting to share their beliefs and before turning them away I was tempted to bring them in and share my views of the gods of chaos and how they rule our universe through a statistical hierarchic that is ultimately unknowable but can be shared in to attain enlightenment and a sense of connection with the universe with them in exchange for their views.

Now, this isn't (just) me being condescending but, I mean, since one belief is as valid as another I've been putting some serious thought into this. I openly invoke and beg fairness from the Dice Gods both before (never during) and after a game (humbled by their unflinching unbiased approach to the universe and adherence to a statistical probability that exceeds my understanding); I openly caution and try to convert those who claim they don't believe in them; I'm even subconsciously generating little rituals to incorporate into my games: certain dice for certain things, not allowing an opponent to touch my dice lest they disturb the statistics of a game by unbalancing the flow of chaos among my dice.

This all started out as a joke about two years ago, but at what point does taking some silly beliefs and rituals go too far and actually become a religion? Do I have to go to a town center where other people of like mind gather to roll dice with me and muse upon their outcome? Because I totally already do that. Do my beliefs have to be centered around a worldly book I vigorously scrutinize over and get angry at people for interpreting different than me? Because I totally already to that. Do I have to get other people to come to my house and roll rice with me and discuss the Dice Gods on a weekly basis before I can apply for Tax Exempt status? Because I totally already do that.

I know I'm crazy for saying this, but is anyone as crazy as me or am I alone in this? I'm Ordained by the ULC... we can run with this.

I demand that my beliefs in the Dark Gods be respected. No one can tell me otherwise. I also want exemption from paying taxes as a Dark Apostle of the cult of Nurgle.

I'm going to start writing that in on my Census forms.

Fang, son of Great Fang, the traitor we seek, The laws of the brethren say this: That only the king sees the crown of the gods, And he, the usurper, must die.
Mother earth is pregnant for the third time, for y'all have knocked her up. I have tasted the maggots in the mind of the universe, but I was not offended. For I knew I had to rise above it all, or drown in my own gak.

I think the original site may be down now, but they might have a couple new ones up. Anyway, I read this in high school and have been a strong believer ever since.

The church of discordianism is exactly the gods of chaos about which you speak. Every one is also a licensed pope, I think you just have to print the license out. Anyway, chaos abounds in the writings of the various popes, my favorite would have to be pope icky fundament.

I am an actual worshipper of Khorne. Just waiting for the massive solar EMP and send us all back to swordfighting wars so I can call BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!, decapitate people and get away with it.

I am also going to get a Mark of Khorne Tattood on my left pec, and a Chaos Star on my palms

Jesus is the real dice god.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

Well, being a Jedi is a real, legalized religion so if you want to worship the Dark Gods as actual gods, then go ahead!

I actually have been for a while as an actual religion, I have prayers and things I will do. I also incorporate the Emperor in as well, albeit in a different way (much like a Jesus figure). I consider myself Chaos Undivided if anything

Just thinking about it, worshipping Chaos may be classed as borderline Satanic.

And I'm sure the pope won't be too happy with "The saviour of humanity, The Emperor of Mankind

As for the "Nurgle Worshippers," just give a shout next time you have diarrhoea, we'll see how much you love "Papa" then.

The Satanic Church isn't really a Religion, I don't think they even worship the devil, or believe in it being real. More so the ideology is based around it.

I'm sure the international Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Cult and Religious community won't be happy about it. The guy can do more than walk on water.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

The satanic church is actually atheists mocking the religious by using ceremony and ritual, they dont think the Devil is real anymore than they do Thor or Zeus.

For a while at the stoke GW store it was a running theme that if someone mentioned religion the staff called on me to preach the all fathers truth until they shut the hell up.

Praise the dice gods by all means they are as real as any other gods.

Its a reason why I have the Imperial eagle tattooed on my back, and the litanies of hate below it.
But on topic, why not? The religions of 40k offer much more than the nonsense we get in this day and age from any other from of religion
