Hello everyone!

This Saturday I am participating in (at least) a 12-man apocalypse game. Of course, with so many people at the table, the organizers have (unfortunately) restricted the points-per-person to 2500. So the force I will be bringing is quite simple:

Command Shadowsword "Numen Sollecis" (Using the Iron Saint datasheet)
Shadowsword "Deletatio Fides"
Stormblade "Stellae Victae"
Warhound Titan "Rex Invictus" with Plasma Blastgun and Vulcan Mega Bolter

I own IAv1:2E and therefore, the new Apocalypse rules for superheavies of all kinds. My questions now are:

1) Is there any advice I should have on the deployment and usage of the Superheavies? For example, I plan on focusing the Shadowswords on enemy superheavies, and the Titan and Stormblade on destroying lighter vehicles or infantry mobs. Is this a good utilization of firepower?

2) What kind of support should I request from allied armies? Bubble-wrapping infantry hordes? Other superheavies for target saturation? Fortifications? Anything specific? Obviously I will need support.

Well as usual in 6th Flyers could hurt you, are your allies taking any anti Flyer units?
Bubble wrapping is also a good options as the Superheavies are vulnerable to HTH. Watch out for podding or DS'ing anti armor units.
You should have good enough range with your weapons so perhaps deploy right on your table edge with the tanks - assuming LoS is good - try and maximise that. This will mean no rear armor shots on the tanks.

SSwords are very good anti titan/super heavies so you're correct to use them in that role.

How many enemy superheavies do you thin you'll be facing off against?
I assume it being 12 man, its 6 armies per side?
If so and you're the only guy on your side with SHs, it could be a disaster.

Try and get your tanks and Titan some sort of cover if possible, I nkow that sounds obvious but many Apoc games you see, the Titans just sit there in the open and get blasted early, tall cathedrals, hills and mountains if there are any can help. A cover save can be invaluabkle - even one or two good saves can keep your SHs alive just that bit longer.

I just played in a 7 man, 60k Apoc game and I couldn't agree more with Ratius. Cover for your super heavies is key (unless you do something mad like a Gargant in which case sit it in the open and laugh). A dozen LRBTs and a Baneblade were destroyed in our opening salvo and we have PLENTY of shots to spare. Get saves for your super heavies. Also, target priority is key. Make sure everyone knows the priorities and acts as one. You will be infinitely more effective that way. I'd adv ise targeting Titans, then formations, then super-heavies. I put it that way out of experience with huge games. Formations are busted.

Alright, thanks guys. Now that Azarael is changed, is there any other bubble-save effects people can think of? There's orks and the KFF, but I don't have orks and can't use allied wargear (houserule).

Edit:

I could use Zhandrek to give a tank stealth, I think.

Take some (or tell your partners to bring some) grey knight Strikers and Coteaz for anti-deepstriking defense. You can be sure that drop pods and the like will be going after your heavies.

Take Turbo-laser destructors on your Warhound.
