im thinking about adding a small amount of DA to my GK as allies. heres the force im thinking:

librarian, termie armor
5 tac marines, missile, flakk
5 deathwing knights.

this would be in additon to my GK force, is:

inquisitor with mastery 1
5 termies, psybolt, psycannon halbreds 1 hammer
10 strike marines w/ 2 psycannon and psybolt
10 strike marines as above
2 razorbacks with hev bolters and psybolt
aegis line with quad gun
2 dreadknights with hev incinerators, psycannons, swords
3 henchmen w/ plasma cannons.
.
this would be a 2000 pt army.
the general idea would be to use the DA tac marines to man the quad gun, and do anti flier stuff. the libby joins the deathwing knights and either screens the tac squad (or strikes) and acts as a counter charge if someone gets too close to my lines. the strikes, termies and DK are my more mobile force, to go and fetch objectives etc.


now, i realize this is tatica section, so ill get to that:

would this combo actually work? the libby gives me some psyker defence (and more powers) it also gives me another anti flier shot, and a nice CC beatstick to work well with my faster striking but lesser AP GK termies. has anyone used the deathwing knights? are they worth it?

I love my knights but there is something missing, mostly lack of long range shooting and low ap weapons. We are a shooty army, so I have been thinking about adding more shooty stuff to them, dark angels can do this as they have access to a lot of plasma, something we dont have.

If I did it, would be something like this, Libby with divination, 5 tac squad with flakk missiles, black knights.

Libby goes with tac squad and goes on quad gun for very cheap flyer defense and objective holding and black knights are just amazing.

I dont see what deathwing knights are worth it, adding things like bikes for speed and plasma is a great addition to the grey knights.
