Today, I battled Stephan with his Chaos Daemons supported by CSM allies, 1650 pts.
Well, in friendly games I don't play my tournament list. Surprise, surprise, the enemy had 4 FMCs and the GUO.

Necrons:
DLord w/ weave
Overlord w/ mss, warscythe, CBB
2x 10 Immortals w/ Night Scythe
10 Warriors w/ Night Scythe
5 Lynchguard w/ power weapons, shield
2 Annihilation Barges
3 Spyders

Daemons with CSM allies:
GUO w/ lvl 2, greater reward - proxied by Balrog (265)
2x 10 Plague Bearers w/ instrument of Chaos
3 Daemon Princes w/ wings, armor, MoN, greater reward (260x3)
CSM allies: Daemon Prince w/ wings, armor, black mace (275)
CSM allies: 7 CSM w/ MoN

Mission (no. 1 in rulebook): 4 objectives
Deployment: pitched battle

Daemons started the game with 4 FMCs on the board, one left, one in the center, and two to the right.
So I refused one flank with HQs, Lynchguard, Spyders and ABs on the board.

Here is the short story with some pics below:
The four FMCs advanced very fast towards my front ranks. I managed to kill one FMC and one wounded one with 1 wound left, but he survived the whole game. The CSM FMC ended up doing nothing. The GUO was deep striking in round 2 close to my units. At the end, his MCs killed most of my units. Moreover, he rolled double 6 on the warp chart which granted him another unit of Plague Bearers during mid-game which was deep striking close to the GUO.
Nevertheless, I wasn't impressed by this and went for his throat killing all his troops. Immortals killed PB unit in cc. Overlord destroyed CSM in cc (falling back). The other two PB units got shot down. He couldn't touch the Night Scythes which won me the game with one unit of Immortals scoring (see last pic).

Summary: This list is hard to take on for most lists out there. This was one of these games were almost everything runs against you. But at the end, you can save the day.

The above CD army has some nice buffs:

1. Tactically, FMCs should always end their flight over terrain so that they get a cover save (MoN gives shrouding) when grounded.

2. FMCs (MoN gives slow and purposefull) need not test for dangerous terrain. So with FMCs (MoN) always move from terrain to terrain.

3. Smaller and greater rewards provides plague swords (default choice) which kill outright. Poison provides an additional effect. FMCs with such weapons are really dangerous.

4. Defensive grenades have the effect of stealth if the unit is shot and the enemy is within 8''. So during night fight, PB do not benefit from stealth only if the enemy unit is within 9'' - 11''.
