I am trying to build a CSM army based on the corpus bretheren, but all i know about them is the fact that they are slaanesh worshipers who are canibalistic and went insane after getting eaten by a planet in the eye of terror. any ideas?

Everything but cult troops I'd imagine.

Nurgle Veteran Marine with the Flu

If you look up the Corpus Bretheren in the P&M logs, then youll find a guy that decided to use units with the Mark of Nurgle in slaaneshi colors to represent the Corpus Bretheren. It was actually a very neat army.

I think you should try to do an army that is both Nurgle and Slaanesh. Perhaps a Nurgle sorcerer (painted in Slaanesh colours, mind you) and a Slaaneshi Lord, with Marines with the mark of nurgle, Plague Marines, and Noise marines as troops. All units would be painted in bright flamboyant colours, but would represent the affects of going through a giant man's digestive tract, in my opinion.

If I had a dollar for every dollar I spent I'd have all my money back.

Thank you i will try that, however, how do i represent the fact that they are cannibalistic as well as physcopaths, even by chaos marine standards.

Hi,

I'm, I think, the guy who's blog is mentioned above; here's a link: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/487105.page

Like Brotheralexos said, I used the mark of Nurgle to represent the whole drug-induced, stomach acid riddled, cannibalistic little blighters. I did this because I already had a large Slaaneshi army and wanted to do something different, but kinda the same.

I would recommend using parts from the Kroot and Dark Eldar range as they are great for little things like bags of meat, bones and flesh strips that give off quite an obvious cannabalistic vibe. I personally focused on the Warping aspect of being eaten (hence the Dryad heads) but i really like the idea of focusing on the cannibalistic side - maybe check-out the zombies from the fantasy range for arms that are holding flesh or something.

Hope this helps!

Thank You, however according to fluff they DO have noise marines (who i cannot give mark of nurgle) and also have cultists who are almost satyr-like.

I have Noise marines in my Corpus Brethren warband, I made them with the new Raptors set as the description in the codex describes them as frolicking through the planets 'forests' and the Raptors are posed very dynamically; plus the models have speakers everywhere which ties in well with the 'sonic' theme.

For Cultists i would recommend looking at the Ungor set from fantasy. Depending on how mutated you want the cultists you could either use them straight out of the box or try and get Catachan arms off of a bits site for the lasguns or even combine the two sets if your wallet will allow.
