I think these are a really neat, unused option.

For those too lazy to look it up, they're +2 Str, 2 handed and AP5.

For the Price of an Attack and an AP point, they do the same job as Power Mauls - they're equal against 2+, 3+ (well, weaker because you do one less attack) to Power Mauls and completely worse at anything higher.

I think any model with a close combat weapon should be able to take them (SM, BA and Wolves I'm working with) - I think they should be between 5 and 10 points, since they are worse than a power maul. They need to be cheaper.

I personally believe 7 points is best - most assault marines right now are 18-ish points, so this makes them 25. It also gives armies an option against light armour in close combat, without wasting AP2 weaponry on them.

Not as an upgrade for EVERYONE in the squad, but a few people. Like squad leaders. 5 Pts for the upgrade on a vet SGT seems alright.

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen
