I recently heard about a 2nd edition Eldar character called Yrrthilien Mournsong who is originally in the Citadel Journal. I thought I would have a stab at updating his rules for 6th edition: Yrrthilien Mournsong, The Lost of Craftworld Muirgaytth - 125pts (HQ Choice) WS BS S T W I A LD SV 6 6 3 4 3 6 3 10 3+ Type: Jetbike Special Rules - Independent Character, Hatred : Chaos Space Marines & Daemons, The Lost, Jetbike Master, Fighter not a Leader, Hit & Run Fighter not a Leader - Yrrthilien may not be the army's Warlord (and hence cannot roll a Warlord Trait). The Lost - Yrrthilien is determined that he will die a honourable death and join the lost kin of Muirgaytth. He counts as being Fearless (and this extends to any unit he joins). Jetbike Master - Yrrthilien has a 5+ invulnerable save as he can jink and dodge to avoid enemy fire and blows. This does not extend to his unit. Wargear - Shuriken pistol, plasma grenades, Screaming Gale Jetbike, Moon Sabre of Thilien Screaming Gale Jetbike Instead of the standard shuriken catapults, the Screaming Gale jetbike carries a potent amplification system designed to raise the pitch and volume of Yrrthilien's voice and use it to power a weapon called the Sonic Crystal Cannon. In the shooting phase, place a flame template in contact with the front of the Screaming Gale jetbike. Any enemy models hit by the template must take a Toughness test (a 6 is always a fail). Those that fail are pinned and subject to the Concussive USR for the ensuing assault phase. Once per game, Yrrthilien may raise his voice to an ungodly crescendo which when ampilifed by the Screaming Gale produces a wave of unimaginable volume. In the shooting phase, select one enemy unit within 12" of Yrrthilien. This unit takes D6, Strength 6 AP3 hits. Moon Sabre of Thilien The Moon Sabre is a weapon handed down through generations of Yrrthilien's family. It is longer and more curved than a standard power sword, more like a scimitar. As Yrrthilien's jetbike gains momentum so does the Moon Sabre, until he reaches maximum speed and it is seen only as a streak of electric blue light. The weapon has two profiles in close combat, one if Yrrthilien is charging and the other if he is charged or in subsequent close combat rounds. Charging: Str: User + 2 AP: 2 Charged (or in subsequent rounds of combat) : Str: User + 1 AP: 3

Well, first off, I'd like to point out a few minor editorial things. These aren't really any flaws in the idea, just stuff that doesn't need to be there or is out of date.
T3(4), as far as I know, in 6th there's no more () T values. He'd be a straight T4. Unless Jetbikes are different, but I do not have my BRB on hand.
Ancestral Armor - Also, as far as I know, Eldar Jetbikes already come with a 3+ save. So this really isn't needed. Just to clean up the whole profile.
Can Jetbikes have Fleet? Showing how little I know Eldar from here, but yeah.
I'd modify the Cannon slightly. I'd say it forces a Pinning test at some penalty, rather than an auto-pin, as that does toe the line of overpowered as this character can pretty much park on a unit and pin them forever. I'd also clean up the wording on that, as I don't believe Pinning tests are made on a per-model basis.
Otherwise, I tip my hat, this is a pretty solid character as far as my lights go.
Except the names, I know they are not yours but these names sound like the sounds a dog makes when it's sick. ;p

Thanks for the feedback. I have removed the Ancestral Armour (as it's not needed) and the Fleet (does not apply on a jetbike) entries.
How about changing the Screaming Gale to a LD test at -3 penalty? Any units that fail are pinned and subject to Concussive for the ensuing assault phase.
If this is too much I could reduce it to a -2 penalty.

That is actually not as clear-cut as you might think. From an RAI standpoint, I would "probably" agree that Fleet on a Jetbike doesn't really make sense ... however, Farseers, Autarchs, and Warlocks do not have specific / separate unit entries for the Jetbike versions of themselves (unlike Guardians, who do).
Farseers, Autarchs, and Warlocks all have Fleet and are able to purchase Jetbikes as an upgrade for 20-30 points. RAW, they would then become Jetbike Unit Types who do indeed still possess the Fleet rule.

Fleet does nothing for Turbo-boosting, however, it still works in the assault phase.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.
