Hi there!
I got into WH40K about a week and a half ago. I got a good deal from some friends on CSM stuff and I've been pretty into it so far. I have a pretty sturdy collection for a n00b, but I'm always looking for things to save up for! My most recent addition was a Forgefiend, which I am excited to run for the first time.
I'll likely stick with Chaos as my sole army, and I run Khorne as their god.
Tips are most welcome!

Welcome! As time goes by you will get more interested in having a balanced force but in the beginning the enthusiasm is more sustainable by just using the miniatures that you like the best. My tip to you as a new wargamer is to build your army with the miniatures that look the best to you and are the most fun to paint.

Welcome to the hobby!
tip time:
-as time goes by especially as a new gamer, brush up on your rules, read the rule book inside and out if you want to. I am still learning cool rules after playing the game for almost 2 years.
-you can never have too much killing for khorne, Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the skull throne! Let the galaxy burn!1!!11
-and utilize the dakka. i have found this site is my one stop shop for painting tips and tricks or tactica questions, also check out the survivability games in the "more dakka" section. Fun is to be had there!

Welcome to Dakka and the hobby!
-When you can afford it, you might want to get a dark apostle because he gives units within a certain distance of him his leadership (10)
-I don't normally recommend starting right off the bat with all of the special rules because it can get a little confusing
