There will be three missions, the first two are going to be Purge the Alien and Crusade out of the 6th edition rule book, with standard deployment, the third is a custom mission which will run as follows.
Fire & Brimstone
As a planet nears the end of it's life, two armies fight to survive.
Deployment
Divide the table in half down the centre width way, then measure 12" from the short side of the board towards the centre and measure 12" from the centre towards the short side - the 12" corridor in between is the player's deployment zone.
Primary Objectives
Claim as many table quarters as possible with scoring units, the player who claims the most table quarters wins.
Mission Special Rules
Night Fighting & Reserves
Kill the Fire - players gain 3 victory points if the enemy warlord is slain.
Volcanic Blast - roll a D6 at the start of each player movement turn for each friendly unit, on a 6+ that unit is hit D3 S8 AP2 times by raining volcanic debris.
Bowels of the Earth - at the start of each player movement phase, roll a D6 for each friendly unit in area terrain, on result of a 1 each model in the unit must take an initiative test. If the initiative test is failed then the model is swallowed into the bowels of the planet - no armour saves of any kind are allowed, though look out, sir maybe used. Monstrous creatures gain +1 to their initiative roll due to size as do as walkers. All other vehicles i.e tanks, skimmers etc are counted as initiative 3, though fast vehicles receive +1 to their initiative due to high speed engines and reactions of the pilots. Fliers are not effected.
