Hey guys,

I wanted to run an all bike ork force for awhile so ive been working on converting some nobs from AOBR to be my bikes.
I apologise for the photos, they arent fantastic, still trying to get my model shots working correctly. Not quite got the hang of it
Here they are:
The central one is pretty much complete, but i will add some extra rivets when i get a chance. The other two are WIPS.

This dude is still in the very early stages.
The idea is that hes sat on a little sort of plate, with lots of tiny squigs underneath running him across the battlefield.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And this is the final of the three, pretty much finished with the squig, now I just need to model the rider, who will basically be hanging onto a chain being flung around off the back of the squig, like a big dog pulling a child over style Not sure where to mount the guns however, was thinking the bike guns on the body of the squig and the power weapon on the nob. Or i was just going to say the squig counted as the power weapon/big choppa.

I really like the sculpt on the giant squig. Can we see it from another angle, or is it not finished on its other facings? I don't know about the centaur nob though. What is with the giant...tumor with the guns on it? Also, horses aren't very orky. I wonder if applying a bunch of green stuff to make it look a bit more squiggy (squiggly?) would improve it.

I look forward to seeing the third one after it's been worked on some more. You should have eight of the squigs and name them like Santa's reindeer.

Thanks for the feedback The centaur nob, its more supposed to be like an underarm gun support, sorta like a cradle, trying to think of an example.... sort of like a battle sisters penance machine, where its like you use the small control to support your heavy weapon arm. I am thinking about beefing up the back end of it with a more mechanical back end, i like how it looks, but none of the shots really show it off very well . I used the top of an AOBR helicopter for reference.

Excellent idea about making the horse body chunkier. i love that idea something il be adding.

haha its more like a rolling carpet than a sled, but theres 10 at current so im 2 tooooo many! but I could make him look like santa anyway. Possibility supposed to be quite a jokeresque army. (I plan on having one bike being a bar of slippery soap with a fan on the back).

and heres another angle but I havent totally finished the detail towards the back.

Ive documented most of the build on the squig, so i will put up a tutorial of the steps i took. (not that im a master by any means )

but any more feedback is greatly appreciated!

that is a mighty fine squig, but for the centaur, sorry but i dont like it
i like the idea and how you did it, but that horse is wayyyyyyyyy to skinny. maybe use chaos horses or boars, but elven horses dont work

Love the squig, though it seems too massive to 'just' be a bike. I would be much more afraid of an ork riding that thing than an ork on a bike.

The idea of the squig carpet is a cool modeling one, but still doesn't seem to fit the characteristics of a bike at all. I think it would just be better to use as a cool, characterful Nob model (that git is too lazy to walk!). Maybe even a Snakebite runtherder, since I think they were the clan who excelled in raising both squigs and snotlings.

The centaur-ork is just weird. I could maybe see an ork grafted to a squig (since squig brain transplants work, why not squig leg transplants?), but I just don't see orks grafted to horses. Now if you used the Empire mechanical horse (or kitbashed the horse to look like bionics), I would love this idea. There's a long precedent for orky bionics (teleskopin' legs, monowheels, trakks, etc.), so stompy metal legs are good.

Update:

Ive bulked up the body of the horse, as I definitely agree it was too slim as its standard. Thoughts? I might try and define the muscles a little more, but at the moment im pretty happy with its overall shape and size. Also, I have yet to bulk the hooves, so that will be done in my next session.

Im going to bulk up the backend of the gun arm where it connects to the body, I am perhaps thinking some slightly mechanical looking parts and bring the plating over the centre of the body a little more too

Please give feedback! ive greatly appreciated it all so far.
