I use 3x3x0.5mm thick square magnets and surface mount them on the arms and shoulder. Some examples below. They are thin enough that you don't need to faff about with drilling.

I did up a video on this a few weeks back as I magnetized my own crisis suits.
I can't grab the link to the page on my site, but I can direct you to:
http://www.gamesummit.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=12191
All the relevant links are in that thread. Weapons on crisis suits can use 1/8"x1/4" magnets no problem, but I used smaller magnets 1/16" x 1/32" for the multitrackers, target locks, etc.
Hope that helps!

I used 3mm x 1.5mm ( 1/8 x 1/16 roughly)
I also underslung all the arm weapons to hid the magnets better.

Ok sorry guys but I am just getting into this again...after botching my necron army I am starting fresh with my new Tau army, so I am trolling the forums...What is magnetizing? Is it using magnets in place of glue? How does one do this and is it better?

I use 1/8" on all my suits and weapons.
Shaso, its so you can change weapons and accessories on your suits between games.

Yeah, for units and vehicleswith multiple weapon options it is usually pretty easy to use magnets to hold the weapons on place so you can swap them out between games. In practice it is probably less useful than it seems as you tend to iterate down to a preferred loadout, but it gives you flexibility and means you don'tbneed to buy a seosrate model for each weapon option.
