Hey boys! I'm working on a Nurgle plague hulk right now and thought I'd start a blog on him in case anyone is interested in my mediocre painting skills. Currently just assembled, primed and one leg is done so moving on to the next one in 5. Here are some pictures of the great big blob...

I'd love some comments and feedback

Looking properly rusty and Nurgly, good start! Was is a sequence of drburushes or weathering powders, I'd like to know what you did since I've been trying to thing of ideas for plaguehulk legs recently too.

Only thing I would say, is consider making the rust a bit brighter in a few areas that would e more weathered to make the effect more believable

Yea I didn't want to go over the top with the brighness. Here is the entire process:

Entire surface painted p3's bloodstone then a wash of gw agrax earthshade.

Then the following for the corroded areas:

Stipple black
Stipple Dryad bark
Stipple skrag brown
Stipple skrag brown mixed with wild rider red
Stipple metal colour
Stipple MIG pigment light rust

I don't always include all the steps. I usually miss out the metal as I don't want there to be much metal. Sometimes I use a different brown just to add variation and some are just black then light brown then pigments. Hope this helped

Awesome! I love all the mold and rust on his legs.

It may be too late. yet you good get green stuff or plasticard and make it look like freshly picked scabs, with the armour peeling away like skin.
