I was reading the BT codex the other week, and they had an armoury of all the wargear, and characters could pick Xpts of gear (with limits obviously). Got me thinking...
Why not bring them back? As a Necron player I find it galling that my characters have practically 0 wargear options e.g synaptic disintegrator, and can only take one (you cant have a staff of light and voidblade, oh no siree). It would be much simpler if armies could pick and choose from the full set like they used to. Plus the army list section would be much smaller without reams of options, leaving more space for fluff and more units/photos.

Good point, forgot that until I asked a DA playing friend of mine, just hope they keep using them

Actually SoloFalcon I was wondering if you could understand why a DA Scout Sergeant has freedom of the armoury to choose weapons like thunder hammers, which makes little to no sense as hammers are hardly stealthy

Sure they are. Think about it... Sgt. Scout McRecon sneaks up on a passing sentry, and proceeds to thwack him with the hammer. The sentry crumples like so much meat in a squishy sack, potentially exploded, and his buddies just think a storm is coming, being that there's no body to find. Besides, it's stealthier than a missile launcher. That potentially gives the whole squad away.

Things I've gotten other players to admit...

Good point actually, makes sense background wise just seemed a little strange in my head that's all. Cheers for clearing that up Dronze.

Who cares? Maybe he was supremely pissed that day and grabbed a hammer?
