Are you talking about them mixed into a single list or are you talking about a US Army and a US airborne army fighting side by side as two separate lists?

I'm from the future. The future of space

At the D-Day landing, weather sent airborne all over the place, so during the first day lots of regular army units had small squads or single airborne soldiers fighting with them until the beachhead was established and they could make their way to their unit's command and report in.

For Operation Husky in the Mediterranean, it was even worse. Many landed in the sea and drowned and others were scattered all over the place. Those that could found the closest friendlies and fought alongside them.

So for D-Day and the days following as well as Sicily, definitely. And you could argue that those large offensives are enough of a justification for any misplaced airborne fighting alongside other units you wanted to have.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

If you used the main list from the rulebook, I think you could represent what you're wanting to do pretty well.

I would run any unit that's an Airborne unit as veteran, and any unit that is Army as Regular.

You'd probably have a smaller amount of veteran units than regulars, to show that it's the US Army stumbling across small units of Airborne as they move up. Maybe a single rifle squad, and a specialist team or two, like a bazooka or MMG team.

Yeah, i would agree. However this might actually be possible anyway if you have the armies of the U.S.A, as there is an actual airborne unit and you might be allowed to use them in the same list if you look at the theatre selectors

Cadian 7th Regiment (Desert uniform) 550pts 2/0/0
WoC army 1000pts 1/0/0

Yeah, I don't have PTSD after five combat tours, and frankly I'd rather get parachuted back into Helmand province armed with only a fething Nerf gun and my underpants than go into my local GW.
