Well ive started ANOTHER amry, this time with guard.

At t he moment i plan to have 1000pts with 500pts of ultramarine allies.
(The army list has been deleted as I'm not going to follow it)

Quick update, managed to get a command squad and fifteen guardsmen at SELWG. Got home opened the box got all my stuff out and realised ive run out of glue! Porbably get some by the end of the week but ill upload pictures of my ultramarines.

Although my glue stock was running dangerously low i manged to gather enough to create my company commander, Colonel 'Scarface' Luden, who ihave actually model a scar on his face although you probably cant see it. The fluff around him was that he was fighting in a leviathan against the volscani cataprhacts on Cadia when a militia commander dealt him a blow to the face, and after that despieses chaos followers more than inquisitors would. oh and if i havent already told you my army is going to be the 7th Cadian.

Update!!!! Sorry for the absence of any activity in the blog but I come with good news! I will be posting more pictures as I have two command squads, two infantry squads and a heavy weapons squad as well as the fact that I have been working on some ultramarines.
Also I am considering entering the 40k doubles tournament with my friend (Death_lord on dakka). If we do enter I will be using my guard and he will be using the new Dark angels! Be posting with models in a couple of days.

Also i wanted to say that I am not aiming to win any painting competitions with this army, but i just want it to be at least tabletop standard. Which i think these guys are.

Well long time no see dakka!

After falling out with GW due to absurd prices, I managed to find a website which i can get my guys for a lot cheaper!
However, I have managed to get another infantry squad, heavy weapons team and a platoon command squad. As well as that i have also finished some guys (gasp)!
Without further ado let me show some of the completed company command members

We have the vox caster, the commander and the bodyguard
As well as that i have completed a couple of normal guys (green cuffs show that they are from first platoon)

Sorry if the image quality is not top notch, but should sort that out soon.
Feedback welcomed as always (it also would motivate me a lot more if this post recieved some popularity!)

Look what I picked up at Cavalier today!

Yup thats right, my guard finally have some armoured support!I got it for quite a bargain as well, i didnt think £24 for the sealed kit was bad at all . Hope to paint it soon, just need a bigger brush!

Just a quick update, managed to get a bit of work done on the regimental standard. I know that the banner its self is the platoon standard one, however I love the bullet holes and the worn look to it. All i've got to do now is do the base (groan).

Will be working on the lascannon team tonight. Also do you want me to post images of my unpainted models that have been built? Bigs things like my Russ will go on regardless, this applies to things like my infantry squads and platoon command squads etc.

I really like the work you're doing with these guys. Crisp, simple paintjob, as I think Guardsman should have. And love the Platoon Commander with his swagger stick. Just a proper commander that one. Have you considered giving him a stoogie for the full package?

Sorry if I sound stupid, but what do you mean by stoogie? If you mean a chimera I would think about it but not until I have the platoons up and running

Its update time!
(for the third time today dakka's been playing up)
Well i have finally been able to photograph the finsihed command squad
First up, is the standard bearer

Next the lascannon team (it was real pain to base)

And the entire squad

Next up is the first platoon command sqaud, however it may be a bit of time before they are finished as I'm currently painty some 28mm WWII germans for bolt action, and as welll as that I'm eyeing the tau after (IMO) are some lovely new releases.

Just a quick update, thought I'd show you the WIP platoon command squad.

First up just a normal guardsman. (Sorry for the poor quality pics, figures seem to come out better when i photo under artifical light)

Now the platoon commander

The next to guys in the squad didnt get undercoated as the wind blew them onto the patio and broke them while i was spraying the others

Hopefully get those two undercoated soon.

Update! Well sorry for the lack of updates, i needed new brushes and my attention was given to my new WOC army, but I have done a little painting.
First of all a finished the platoon command's plasma gunner

Ive also started work on the vox caster but he is still WIP

hey man good luck with painting all those guardsmen...lord knows i struggled through my 35 man platoon took me almost 4 months to do them as they were that much of a pain in the ass to paint but they are nice and rewarding simple clean effective. can't wait to see the leman painted up going to be great i bet.

Sorry for the complete lack of updates, been really busy with school. But now it is the summer holidays you will be spoiled with the amount of updates!
First up i have finished the platoon command squad that I started a while back, will post pics of them asap, however I have finished my leman russ!

I did pull of the sponsons though, as I will only equip the command tank with them, and they werent proving to useful in game.
