Really like A LOT of the models for kings of war and would like to fit them into my WHFB armies. But are they to the same scale?
It was the prices that made unsure since £30 for 60 models just doesn't seem right unless they are really small.

If you do a google image search for 'Mantic scale' plenty of people have taken helpful pictures to let you judge for yourself.

They're not really small, but they are 'true' scale compared to Fantasy's 'Heroic' scale so look a little slimmer.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Wouldn't mix 'em in a unit with GW/other larger scaled mfrs.
Their Undead are generally held to be some of their better models.

The undead look fine.
The orcs look fine.
Some of their other stuff looks ok.

The elf stuff is thin and kinda weedy looking (but I don't have a 'real' elf with which to compare proper scaling - so I could be wrong.)

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Yes, they're the same size and work fine as proxies.

And yes, the minis really are priced as low as that, 50p/mini is fairly normal for hard plastics (mantic, perry, warlord, etc.). GW charges £2.50 or £4 per mini because they are a total rip-off.

The Dwarves are a little beefier but don't look any more out of place than any older GW dwarf sculpts in a dwarf army.

The undead scale well and are very nice miniatures.

The orcs are a little smaller but it's not that noticeable and they still fit in well enough with GW orcs.

The Goblins are AFAIK a similar scale.

The elves are very weedy and small compared to GW elves.

Not sure about any of the KS stuff.

Mantic originally didn't have a rules set and the models were pretty obviously aimed at the Warhammer proxy market.

Personally, I prefer the scaling on their orcs and Undead to GW's exaggerated proportions.

The undead are fantastic proxies for WFB. I think they look better than the badly proportioned GW mutant skeletons and they are way cheaper.

The dwarves have a very strong aesthetic with their sharply cut beard curls and wide noses, but the actual models are solid. If I were to do them, I'd probably find a source for 28mm roman shields and switch them to tower shields cause I think it would look better than the 14th century french knight shields Mantic picked for the dwarves.

The orcs are really solid as well. They look mean and less goofy than GW ones. That said, I find them far, far more slight than GW's plastics, who have scale crept up to the point where they are as big as the ogres I had in 4th edition.

Actually, if the WFB orc stood up, he'd be taller than an ogre:

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
